Katarina Wit was born on 3 December 1965 at Staaken (East Germany). She is always looking for new opportunities and opportunities to take on new challenges. Through this process she's gained expertise in a myriad of areas which include figure skating, production, presentation, acting, and writing. Katarina Witt's successful professional career as an amateur is over following the 1988 World Championships. In the following three years, she co-headlines with Brian Boitano (World Champion, Calgary Olympic Champion) her first US and Canadian professional tour. The show has been such a success that Madison Square Garden, New York is sold out of a performance of figure skating for the first time in the last ten years. 1993-94 she returns to professional sport, and then into the competitive limelight to participate three times as a participant in the Olympic Games in Lillehammer in 1994. After that, for 10 years she travels across North America as an actor in "Champions on Ice" as well as the "Stars on Ice", the "Champions on Ice Tour" and various other shows featuring figure skating. In addition, she competes in a variety of professional international events. The company she owns, WITHWITT Productions, has been behind several world-class ice-shows which she creates, produces and headlines. It set the bar in the skating market through live shows like "Divas On Ice" and 'Katarina & friends", Enjoy the stars and 'Winter Magic' for US TV and German broadcasters.
